We are seeking a Full Time Director of Patient Care Services for our Yuma, Arizona Branch.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the supervision of clinical services. Ensures proper utilization of patient services provided in compliance with departmental policies and procedures, regulations and accreditation standards for quality care of the agency.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Coordinates all nursing and therapeutic services offered by the agency.
2. Assigns appropriate staff level to all cases.
3. Assumes responsibility for orientation of new nursing staff.
4. Assures compliance with all local, state, and federal laws regarding licensure and certification of staff.
5. Ensures proper maintenance of medical records as prescribed by, and in compliance with, local, State, and Federal Laws.
6. Ensures that all physician orders are current and being followed by nursing personnel.
7. Interview nursing personnel and assists with the nonprofessional staff.
8. Actively participates in quality improvement activities to ensure agency compliance.
9. Ensures documentation according to payor source criteria for reimbursement.
10. Assists with recruitment and screening of staff based on personnel qualifications.
QUALIFICATIONS
BSN Degree preferred. 3+ yrs. exp. in a home health agency, primary care clinic, or health facility a must. 2+ yrs. exp. in a supervisory or administrative capacity. Knowledge of State & Federal regulations, accreditation standards. Current California License as a Registered Nurse. Current BLS-CPR Certification. Position requires significant business travel, a valid Driver’s License, and proof of automobile insurance. Knowledge of PPS
